The builder fee, explained

Filo earns a small per-trade fee charged by Hyperliquid (the "builder fee"), capped by what you approve. No subscription, no hidden cost.

How Filo makes money

Filo has no subscription and takes no deposit. Instead, Hyperliquid charges a tiny "builder fee" on each trade Filo places and routes it to Filo. You approve a maximum rate once; Filo can never exceed it.

  • Standard: 0.03% per trade while your lifetime volume is under $100k.
  • Reduced: 0.015% per trade after you pass $100k lifetime volume.
  • You approve a ceiling (default 0.05%). The fee charged is always the lower of your tier and your approved ceiling.

Good to know

  • On Grid Bot, the fee only applies to the sell side — buys are fee-free on Hyperliquid spot.
  • The fee is charged by Hyperliquid, not deducted by Filo separately. You will see it in your trade fills.
