Fund your account (use your Spot balance)
Deposit USDC to Hyperliquid. The Grid Bot trades spot, so move your USDC to your Spot balance inside Hyperliquid before it can run.
Filo trades with funds in your Hyperliquid account. You need USDC on your Spot balance before a grid can run.
Where your money needs to be
The Grid Bot trades Hyperliquid spot, so it uses your Spot balance.
Deposits often land in Perp by default. If a Grid Bot buy fails with "insufficient spot balance", your USDC is in Perp — move it to Spot inside the Hyperliquid app (click USDC → Transfer between Spot and Perp).
Making your first deposit
- Open the Hyperliquid app and deposit USDC (Arbitrum is the native route).
- If this is your first time on Hyperliquid, use Filo’s referral link when prompted — it costs you nothing and supports Filo.
- Move funds to your Spot balance so the grid can trade.
