Troubleshooting & FAQ
The common snags and exactly how to fix them: balance in the wrong place, skipped trades, paused buys, and setup that won’t complete.
"Insufficient spot balance" on a Grid Bot buy
Your USDC is in the Perp wallet, but the Grid Bot trades Spot. Move it: open app.hyperliquid.xyz, click USDC, choose "Transfer between Spot and Perp", and move funds to Spot. Then the grid buys on the next trigger.
My buys are paused
- If you paused them, just resume from the grid page.
- If Filo paused them because your balance ran low, top up your Spot USDC — buys auto-resume within about an hour, or resume manually. Sells keep running the whole time.
A trade shows SKIPPED
Skipped means Filo deliberately did not place it. The reason is shown on the row. Most common:
- You already hold that coin (one position per coin).
- The price moved too far from the trader’s entry to copy safely — loosen "max price deviation" if you want slower entries.
- Order below Hyperliquid’s minimum — raise your per-step capital or allocation.
Setup / connect won’t finish
- Rate-limit error during authorise: that wallet has signed many actions before. Wait a minute and retry, or create a fresh Filo wallet.
- Wallet signature loop (popup keeps asking): close the popup, refresh, and reconnect. If it persists, use the in-app diagnostics and Copy report so we can see what happened.
- Nothing happens after deposit: confirm the USDC landed on the right side (Spot for Grid Bot, Perp for copy).
My PnL looks off
Filo computes PnL from your actual Hyperliquid fills, net of all fees, so it matches the exchange. On spot, remember the buy-side has no fee but the sell-side does, so a step’s break-even sits slightly above its entry.
